  • Needles

Accupuncture was a trip.  The doc asked me a series of questions, took measurements, felt my pulse and what not.  As expected, she told me I was stressed out.  She proceeded to tell me that I needed to keep myself warm, eat "warm" foods, and relax.  "Warm" foods are not necesarily warm... por ejemplo, apples are a good warm food, but melons are not.  Meat is another good warm food so I should eat a lot of it (I can do this one with both hands tied behind my back).  When she asked me what I usually do to relax I told her I watch TV and she told me I should keep doing this (this doctor is A-OK in my book).

The needles weren't so bad.  Apparently, I take good accupuncture, whatever the hell that means.  I mean you just lie there and get poked with needles.  The weird thing is she asked me if I wanted a box of needles to do accupuncture on myself.  I was hella puzzled by that.  She told me that she could teach me how to place the needles on myself but I should never do it to anyone else.  The idea of doing accupuncture to myself is weird but fascinating.  I just may take her up on her offer.

I did have moderate headaches today, but I didn't reach for the pain relievers.  Hopefully this is a start of better days ahead.
