  • Yesterday was not a good day at work.  It was a Monday and I had a lot of crap to do and the pile is never ending.  The only redeeming part was when I helped Kirsten Dunst in the store.  I wrapped a guitar she was giving as a birthday gift.  I think it was a baby Taylor.  It was a larger gift than we normally wrap for customers but it was smaller than what a full sized guitar in a box would be.  If you're curious, and I know you are, she's about my height, way skinny and very nice.

As I was driving home, I saw B.J. Novak driving in the opposite direction.  The weird thing is that he was driving a Honda Accord... probably a 2001 model too, with scratches.  I'm not saying that just because you're an actor you should be driving a Bentley, but dude, a 2001 Honda Accord?  You should at least be driving a 2006 model... or if you're into that kind of thing, a Prius.

That got me thinking about what kind of car I would drive if I was an actor... let's say with a fame level of someone on a moderate hit TV show.  I decided that I would drive an Acura TL... like Danny has.  It's not a crazy expensive car and it's not too shabby either.  It's certainly more car than I deserve.  I certainly ain't for spending a crapload of money on a car just because you can.  Now if I were a mega star, I wouldn't drive at all.  I'd buy a car that requires a driver.  Either that or I'd invest in "beam-me-up-Scotty" technology.

  • Danny and I attended back to back weddings this weekend, one on Saturday, the other on Sunday.  The one on Saturday is hands down the most expensive wedding I've ever been too.  The food was freaking awesome and their $15,000 band was mindblowing.  The wedding on Sunday had a gorgeous reception and ceremony.  No matter how nice it is, I don't want to go to another wedding for a long, long time.

  • I love the X Games.  It's so exciting to watch.  I realize that many things I like are really contrary to my day-to-day lifestyle and personality.  A nerd can dream though.  Next year I think I'll actually buy tix to the games.  I actually wanted to buy tix earlier this summer but I didn't think Mr. Park would back me on that one.  Next year... the 1080 will come... I can feel it.

  • Can somebody explain to me why people tie a pair of shoes together and fling them onto telephone wires?  A couple weeks ago I spotted a pair of white and red tennis shoes hanging from telephone wires in the neighborhood near my work.  I've noticed this occurance in other neighborhoods many other times.  I've often wondered if it's just boredom that leads people to do this or if this is a kind of move-in ritual related to some superstition.  Anyhoo, I just noticed today that there is a second pair of shoes hanging next to the white and red ones.  WTH?

  • Holy crap.  I answered a call today at work and guess who was on the other line?  Friggin Leonard Nimoy.  I was having a mini freak-out.  Me a Star Trek geek?  You better believe it.

  • So I like the show "So You Think You Can Dance."  I've been into it since the first season.  My boss and I discuss our favorites from time to time (his fav got booted off already).  Anyhoo, I'm working today (Saturday) because I'm covering for my boss who's on vacay right now... and lo and behold the host of the show comes in to buy some cards.  I'm like, "hey, you're from that show!"  Blah, Blah.  She was nice and very pretty in person.  It was a semi-cool moment.  Now if the dancers came in to shop that would be straight out cool.

I bet you guys judge me more for liking this show than for posting about bowel movements.

  • I've had a couple of things I've wanted to blog about but most of them are now long forgotten.

I did watch Superman the other night and I actually enjoyed it.  That Brandon Routh is built like a freakin tank.  Hotness.  Add the new Superman to the long list of "perfect" fictional men (emphasis on the fictional).

The other thing I remember wanting to blog about was how much of a sense of accomplishment I get when I am able to make a substantial "deposit" in the bathroom... a nice clean deposit.  I was telling Danny that on the rare occasion that it's perfectly executed, I feel like I accomplised something very important that day...  almost feels like I can check something major off a looming "to-do" list.  Don't judge me because of this toilet talk... as if you guys were surprised I'd write about this.

  • It was truly a nail-biter but Kobayashi pulled through and beat his own record to win.  54 hotdogs.  Holy cow.

  • Let's all pray for Kobayashi as he attempts to hold on to his hot dog eating championship belt for yet another year.

  • Europe Continued

Ok.  Here are some pics of our recent trip.  You may notice that I went to some lengths to photograph and describe our meals.  I decided to take pics of every meal we had on this trip.  While this wasn't entirely successful, I did document the majority of the memorable ones.   If I ever go back to Morocco, I shall take a pic of every toilet I use (pre-use of course).

Some pics are on our old-school film camera, and I highly doubt I'll ever get around to scanning them and putting them up.
